IMPERFECT BEAUTIES: 1940s Service shoes in Boanil Brown

IMPERFECT BEAUTIES: 1940s Service shoes in Boanil Brown
These lovely Service shoes are an older version of the current model. They have no imperfections but were made with our older last which was a little narrow.
These fantastic service shoes are inspired by the lower everyday shoes worn by women during WW2: Nurses, WAC, Wrens etc.
The leather is a lovely quality high shine brown calf leather called "Boanil", very similar to 1940's originals.
3cm high heel, a nice easy height for everyday use.
Made with Goodyear welt leather soles and anti-slip protection.
These original samples are made with quite slim lasts, so if you have slim feet these are for you. One pair only in size 38.
Handmade in Portugal.
No plastic involved, they are sustainable and should last a really long time. The vintage look leather will age beautifully.
With good care, these boots could last a lifetime. Goodyear welt soles can be endlessly replaced!

Our shoes are true to size in length, but this last is elegant and can come up snug in our regular fit on some people. Our wide fit corresponds to a size up in width, and is very subtle to preserve the look of the shoe.
When in between sizes, always go for the bigger of the two sizes.
Your feet are…
🦶🏾SLIM: If you have a narrow and petite foot, then our regular last in your usual size is for you.
🦶🏾 REGULAR: If you have regular to wide feet, always bear in mind that these are vintage reproductions, and can be snug, so a wide could be more comfortable. If you have regular feet but plan to wear these with thicker socks or like to have a bit more room then choose the wide fit.
🦶🏾 WIDE: If you have wide or sensitive feet we recommend to choose the wide fit.
🦶🏾 Extra WIDE: If you have much wider feet, or intend to use any orthotic insoles, we recommend to go up and choose the wide fit.

If you are still unsure, you can send us your foot measurements, and tell us more about the sizes you usually wear so we can advise you.
The best thing to do is to draw an outline of your foot, and then draw a rectangular box around it. If you then give us the measurements of the width and length of your foot we can advise you best that way! See the “step by step” image below.
