Victorian Working Class Clogs

Victorian Working Class Clogs
These Traditional Clog Boots are handmade by an artisan in his small workshop in Northern Portugal. Made this way for generations by the same family, these clogs are a perfect example of an honest surviving design of a working class galoche.
With a rough finish, they’re perfect for recreating turn‑of‑the‑century working‑class outfits—from field workers to miners. They suit both men and women, and can also be worn with a modern outfit to create a bucolic look.
The fit is generous. Men: choose your usual size. Women: go down one size and wear thick socks for comfort. These are unlined so the interior of the leather can feel rough.
Our clog maker only produces littles batches from time to time, so once these are gone, we are not sure on the restock date.
✨ Top customer care: We double check your sizing before we ship!

If you are still unsure, you can send us your foot measurements, and tell us more about the sizes you usually wear so we can advise you.
The best thing to do is to draw an outline of your foot, and then draw a rectangular box around it. If you then give us the measurements of the width and length of your foot we can advise you best that way! See the “step by step” image below.

Most of our styles are available to have made just for you in the same style as on the listing, if your size is out of stock. A made to order item is fully returable and refundable.
They cost the same as a stock item, the only difference is the waiting time, as they must be manufactured.
This takes about 4-8 weeks.
If you would like to order the same style but would like some alterations made in colour or design, then a Custom order is the way to go! They are personalised which means they take a little longer to manufacture at 8-10 weeks.
Because they are bespoke they are non refundable. In the rare case that they do not fit or meet your expectations we will remake them. We offer a full customer support to make sure all the details of your order are clear and that the boots fit you.
