These gorgeous Espadrilles are the perfect vintage summer shoe. They are hand made in Portugal. The uppers are cotton canvas.
As we researched the original shape of Espadrilles worn by Marilyn Monroe, Coco Chanel, Grace Kelly and many more style icons since the 1930s, we realised this simple style was hiding in plain sight. The classic Espadrille had long cotton tabs, laced through holes of the uppers, that are tied in endless variations, making them secure while adding elegant style.
The thick woven jute sole is 2cm thick making these elegant and stable for walking about town.
These espadrilles are very light and comfortable as soon as you put them on.
We recommend selecting your regular sizes in these, as they are true to size. If in between sizes, choose the larger. The canvas will stretch a little with wear, and can feel tight to start.
