These Victorian Walking boots are faithful reproductions of an original pair from the late 1800s, early 1900s.
Please note these stock items are not customisable.
The round toe, Louis curved heel (4,5cm high) and brogue detail give them a unique look- great for accurate reenactment, costume work or simply for stylishly combining with a modern outfit.

These Victorian Walking boots are a faithful replica of a similar style from the late Victorian/ early Edwardian era (1890-1920s).
What makes them look so authentic the details of the design and the Vintage looking full grain leather.
Handmade by skilled Portuguese artisans, each pair is slightly unique. Sturdy and comfortable: they are built to last, just like the originals.
A timeless design easily styled with a modern outfit, they add a twist of Vintage.
These boots were developed for TV and Film, and continue to be used by many costume departments, as they are period accurate, comfortable and durable.

The shape of this last is elegant as it is based on originals from the 1890s but the sizing is fully adapted to modern feet.
They are true to size in length, but can the toe box can be snug on some people.
Our wide fit corresponds to a size up in width, and is very subtle to preserve the look of the shoe. It is not noticeable to the naked eye.
When in between sizes, always go for the bigger of the two sizes.

š¦¶š¾SLIM: If you have a narrow and petite foot, then our regular last in your usual size is for you.
š¦¶š¾ REGULAR: If you have regular to wide feet, always bear in mind that these are vintage reproductions, and can be snug, so a wide could be more comfortable. If you have regular feet but plan to wear these with thicker socks or like to have a bit more room then choose the wide fit.
š¦¶š¾ WIDE: If you have wide or sensitive feet we recommend to choose the wide fit.
š¦¶š¾ Extra WIDE: If you have much wider feet, or intend to use any orthotic insoles, we recommend to go up and choose the wide fit.

The standard height of these boots is 17cm high in our size EU39.

š¦µš¾ORIGINAL SLIM CALF : If you consider your ankles and lower calves to be slender, this is for you. Our shaft measurements in this original fit in size EU39 is 23.5 cm around the top of the boot with the laces at their tightest and go up to a maximum of 31cm with laces at the maximum. Please bear in mind these measurements vary according to the size.
š¦µš¾WIDE CALF: If you have slightly fuller ankles and calves, then this new wider calf version should allow for a closer lacing, with less gap. This is still a medium fitting wide, and measures in a size EU39 26cm around the top of the boot with the laces at their tightest and go up to a maximum of 34cm with laces at the maximum. Please bear in mind these measurements vary according to the size.
š¦µš¾EXTRA WIDE CALF: Available upon request only for now. For wider calves, this option measures in a size EU39 28cm around the top of the boot with the laces at their tightest and go up to a maximum of 37cm with laces at the maximum. Please bear in mind these measurements vary according to the size.

Most of our styles are available to have made just for you in the same style as on the listing, if your size is out of stock. A made to order item is fully returable and refundable.
They cost the same as a stock item, the only difference is the waiting time, as they must be manufactured.
This takes about 4-8 weeks.
If you would like to order the same style but would like some alterations made in colour or design, then a Custom order is the way to go! They are personalised which means they take a little longer to manufacture at 8-10 weeks.
Because they are bespoke they are non refundable. In the rare case that they do not fit or meet your expectations we will remake them. We offer a full customer support to make sure all the details of your order are clear and that the boots fit you.
