These simple ankle lace up boots are a great everyday shoe, that can be styled for a historical or vintage look, for various occasions and across seasons.
We call these "Cobble Skippers", inspired by the incredible portraits of Victorian Children in London's working class tenements (after "Spitafields Nippers" book by Horace Warner).
These are sturdy boots, resistant and stable enough to run around old cobbled streets, thanks to their low heel (2cm) and sturdy Goodyear Welted leather sole

They are handmade in Portugal and are constructed with Goodyear welt leather soles, sewn together with a cork insulation inside.
No plastic involved, they are sustainable and should last a really long time. The vintage look leather will age beautifully.
With good care, these boots could last a lifetime. Goodyear welt soles can be endlessly replaced!

This last is unisex and the fit is generous, but true so you can choose your usual size. If in between sizes, best to size down.
The overall fit is relaxed, so these could be suitable for wider feet, or can be worn with thicker socks. The pointed toe adds a timeless elegance, without discomfort. -

The standard height of these boots is 13cm high in our size EU39.
Our calf fits…
🦵🏾Standard : If you consider your ankles and lower calves to be slender, this is for you. Our shaft measurements in this original fit in size EU39 is 23 cm around the top of the boot with the laces at their tightest and go up to a maximum of 31cm with laces at the maximum. Please bear in mind these measurements vary according to the size.
🦵🏾WIDE CALF: If you have slightly fuller ankles and calves, then this new wider calf version should allow for a closer lacing, with less gap. This is still a medium fitting wide, and measures in a size EU39 25cm around the top of the boot with the laces at their tightest and go up to a maximum of 34cm with laces at the maximum. Please bear in mind these measurements vary according to the size.

The best thing to do is to draw an outline of your foot, and then draw a rectangular box around it. If you then give us the measurements of the width and length of your foot we can advise you best that way! See the “step by step” image below.
